Missions are an important part of our calling as a church. We support and participate in outreach efforts both locally and around the world, working to serve others and share hope through meaningful action.
Crawford County Hunger Fighters
Volunteers meet at UPC Denison on the 3rd Tuesday of every month to distribute, on average, over 8,000 lbs of food to ~200 families throughout Crawford County. As the largest monthly food distribution in Crawford County, volunteers are needed to assist with unloading the truck (10:30am-12:00pm), packing food (1:00-2:30pm), and conducting registration and loading food (2:30-5:00pm) with some tear down to follow. If you’re interested in volunteering, please call (712) 263-4130 and make sure to follow their Facebook page for programming updates. If you need food assistance, drive-thru pick-up is available from 2:30-5:00pm on the 3rd Tuesday of every month. If you’re new to the program, you will need to complete a TEFAP (The Emergency Food Assistance Program) form either on-site or can pick one up in advance from the UPC Denison Church Office. One allotment of aid will be given per household, and please ensure adequate space in your vehicle’s trunk for loading.
